What are the four types of Bullying

Physical, verbal, social, cyber.

Mean moment because no body is in danger or being hurt.

This is a little problem, you should ignore the person.

What is the difference between tattling and reporting?

Tattling: Someone who tattles want the other person to get in trouble. 

Reporting: Someone reports when they want to tell an adult about someone being unsafe.

Bullying It is not one time- it is repeated. Someone can get hurt from the thumbtack. You must tell an adult.

What harmful effects can bullying have on children?

Bullying is nothing to ignore and if often very harmful. Kids who are bullied report feelings of sadness and loneliness. They experience mental health impacts such as depression and anxiety. Kids who are bullied lose confidence and self esteem. They often don't want to come to school and their grades suffer. They often isolate and don't join extracurricular activities.

Tattling. This person wants to get Jennifer in trouble over a little problem.

Cyber bullying.

What is this (bullying, conflict or mean moment): When playing tag, your friend only used one had to tag you but the rules are you have to touch with two hands in order to be out. Now you are your friend are yelling at each other over the who is it.

Conflict because you both are friends and chances are you will be friends after this conflict is over. You should go over the rules again, maybe your friend forgot or didn't know.

Mean moment. It happened once and is not a repeated event.

Bullying. It started as a conflict between friends but changed to bullying when one involved others in isolating the other.

Tell the person to stop spreading rumors about another person. Also, don't continue to spread the rumor.

Reporting. This can be dangerous!

Verbal bullying.

Mean moment because it has only happened once. You should tell Sarah how it made you feel.

Bullying. It is repeated and the group is working together to isolate Maggie

What should you do to the person who is bullying?

Find ways to make the bully stop and telling an adult. However, you should never bully or be mean back. The person who is bullying is still a person.

Tattling or reporting: Evelyn threatened to share an unflattering picture she took without your knowledge if you don't do what she says. 

Reporting. This is a threat.
