Uniform Scenario: It's a 50 degree day in April and you shed both your uniform shell and puffy jacket earlier, as you have been in the yard all morning with your class. After two more laps on the magic carpet, you plan to take your class up the chairlift for the first time. What must you remember to do before heading to the chair? 

Put on your uniform jacket!!! You must wear EITHER your shell or puffy jacket when riding the chairlift. (Hint: outer shell with the armpit vents open is the way to go)

Scenario: You're taking a class up the lift for the first time after practicing on the carpet all day. As you start to ski down the run in a snake, you suddenly realize that two of your students have fallen at the top of the run and are unable to get up/ski down. Two of your other students did not notice when you stopped and kept skiing to the base area, still in eyesight. Your class is now seperated, what do you do?

Ask another instructor to help assist up top or stay with your students at the base (be sure to specify number of students, names and outfit colors), or call a supervisor, we are here to help!

What is the 24-hour rule?

Stay off ungroomed terrain that has received new snow for at least 24 hours. After 24 hours, it is open for ski school to go on.
