True: It's very important that staff know where you are at all times to keep you safe. Please ask before leaving. You can ask for a break if needed! If you are angry or upset, staff would rather you announce you are stepping out than not say anything at all.
How many people should be in the break room at one time?
One person at a time! (Use the break room if you really need a break from group, not to nap or stay in there the whole day so no one else can use it)

False: It is your choice each day to participate in group activities. Staff will encourage you, but it's your choice whether you want to earn your participation fuzzies. If you do not participate, you just might be bored and miss out on something fun!

FALSE. You are responsible for cleaning up your trash. It is part of showing respect to staff and not making them clean up after you
How can you be safe and have fun while out in the community and on our trips on Thursdays?
Staying close to staff and following their directions. Kids who run off or refuse to follow directions will possibly loose fuzzies and staff might have to call their parents. When we are safe and follow expectations, we can have a good time on our fun trips

What do helpful beans turn into at the end of the day! How can you earn Helpful beans?
Helpful beans turn into bonus fuzzies that will be put in the jar. Staff can put a bean in the helpful jar whenever they see anyone doing something kind or helpful, without needing staff to tell them to do it first. The group can earn beans for following directions, good listening, coming back inside quickly, and more

What are the expectations when we go to Riverside for lunch every day?
Riding together in a van and following van expectations. Getting in a single file line for lunch. Finding one seat and staying seated, focusing on eating and not running around.
Why do we practice mindfulness every day? How can you have a positive attitude about mindfulness
Mindfulness can help when feeling angry, needing space from peers, room is too loud/needing time to de-stress, needing to talk to one on one with staff. Allows us to take a calm break in the day and reset. We can always try our best even when it seems boring or scary to try something new. Mindfulness will always help us, not hurt us
What is collab and when do we do it?
When will we do fuzzies? What needs to be done first before you can get your fuzzies and put them in the jar?
*Reminder, we do not do trade-ins, unless you have enough stickers*
What should you do if you are a chair stacker, or wipe down crew but the tables are not cleared off yet?
Help clear off tables! You should not be standing around or playing during clean up time
What will happen if you try to hurt someone in the room by hitting, kicking, or throwing something at them?
You will be immediately separated from the group and must address the situation with staff. You can choose to step out or everyone else will leave. Any aggression means that guardian(s) will be contacted and you may be sent home for the day.
What can you expect for arrival every day, and what are the expectations? What type of arrival activities do we do on Wednesdays?
Coming in the room calmly, having breakfast if you are hungry or wanting to eat. Participating in the arrival activity when everyone arrives. Cleaning up when time to end arrival activity

Kind and Helpful actions- Staff may ask you to put a bean in the HELPFUL jar
Hurtful actions (unkind/inappropriate comments, poor boundaries, not following directions, etc)- Staff may ask you to put a bean in the HURTFUL jar
How can you loose a fuzzy?
Refusing to transition inside, running out of the room or away from staff/property, not being safe on the vans or in the room, aggression towards staff or a peer, refusing room job or collab, etc.
What does it mean if you are Royal Bee?
You don't have a specific job, but you should help others or pick up a job for someone who is gone
What do appropriate boundaries look like?
Keeping hands to self at all times, side hugs with peers are okay with permission, you may hug staff if you ask first
Scenario: Someone in the room accidentally spilled water all over my art project. I'm feeling so angry that I want to punch someone and I start yelling at staff. What could I do in this moment to try to calm myself down and still earn my fuzzies today?
Example:
Announce that I need to step into the hallway and need space to myself. OR step into the break room. Return to the room when I feel calm enough and allow staff to help me solve the problem.
