And God said, “This is the sign of the covenant I am making between me and you and every living creature with you, a covenant for all generations to come: I have set my ________ in the clouds, and it will be the sign of the covenant between me and the earth.
” While they were eating, Jesus took ______, and when he had given thanks, he broke it and gave it to his disciples, saying, “Take it; this is my body.” Then he took a ______, and when he had given thanks, he gave it to them, and they all drank from it.
The ox knows its master, the _______ its owner’s manger,but Israel does not know, my people do not understand.”
Then he told them many things in parables, saying: “A _____ went out to sow his _____. As he was scattering the _____, some fell along the path, and the birds came and ate it up. Some fell on rocky places, where it did not have much soil. It sprang up quickly, because the soil was shallow. But when the sun came up, the plants were scorched, and they withered because they had no root. Other ____ fell among thorns, which grew up and choked the plants. Still other ______ fell on good soil, where it produced a crop a hundred, sixty or thirty times what was sown.
For he will command his ________ concerning you to guard you in all your ways;
But now in Christ Jesus you who once were far away have been brought near by the blood of Christ. For he himself is our _____, who has made the two groups one and has destroyed the barrier, the dividing wall of hostility, by setting aside in his flesh the law with its commands and regulations. His purpose was to create in himself one new humanity out of the two, thus making _____,
He replied, “You of little faith, why are you so afraid?” Then he got up and rebuked the winds and the waves, and it was completely calm.
Then I saw a ______, looking as if it had been slain, standing at the center of the throne, encircled by the four living creatures and the elders. The ______ had seven horns and seven eyes, which are the seven spirits of God sent out into all the earth.
He and Aaron gathered the assembly together in front of the _______ and Moses said to them, “Listen, you rebels, must we bring you water out of this _______?” Then Moses raised his arm and struck the _____ twice with his staff. Water gushed out, and the community and their livestock drank. But the Lord said to Moses and Aaron, “Because you did not trust in me enough to honor me as holy in the sight of the Israelites, you will not bring this community into the land I give them.”
since you are demanding proof that Christ is speaking through me. He is not weak in dealing with you, but is powerful among you.
Suddenly a sound like the blowing of a violent wind came from heaven and filled the whole house where they were sitting. They saw what seemed to be tongues of fire that separated and came to rest on each of them. All of them were filled with the _______ and began to speak in other tongues as the Spirit enabled them.
So Samuel took the horn of oil and ________ him in the presence of his brothers, and from that day on the Spirit of the Lord came powerfully upon David. Samuel then went to Ramah.
In all the travels of the Israelites, whenever the _______ lifted from above the tabernacle, they would set out;but if the ______ did not lift, they did not set out—until the day it lifted.
We were therefore buried with him through ________ into death in order that, just as Christ was raised from the dead through the glory of the Father, we too may live a new life.
Just as Jesus was coming up out of the water, he saw heaven being torn open and the Spirit descending on him like a _______. And a voice came from heaven: "You are my Son, whom I love; with you I am well pleased."
They got up and returned at once to Jerusalem. There they found the Eleven and those with them, assembled together and saying, “It is true! The Lord has risen and has appeared to Simon.” Then the two told what had happened on the way, and how Jesus was recognized by them when he broke the bread.
“Suppose one of you has a hundred sheep and loses one of them. Doesn’t he leave the ninety-nine in the open country and go after the lost sheep until he finds it?
One day as Jesus was standing by the Lake of Gennesaret, the people were crowding around him and listening to the word of God. He saw at the water’s edge two boats, left there by the fishermen, who were washing their nets. He got into one of the boats, the one belonging to Simon, and asked him to put out a little from shore. Then he sat down and taught the people from the boat. When he had finished speaking, he said to Simon, “Put out into deep water, and let down the nets for a catch.” Simon answered, “Master, we’ve worked hard all night and haven’t caught anything. But because you say so, I will let down the nets.” When they had done so, they caught such a large number of fish that their nets began to break.
The next day the great crowd that had come for the festival heard that Jesus was on his way to Jerusalem. They took _______ branches and went out to meet him, shouting,
“Hosanna!”
“Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord!”
“Blessed is the king of Israel!”
When the apostles returned, they reported to Jesus what they had done. Then he took them with him and they withdrew by themselves to a town called Bethsaida, but the crowds learned about it and followed him. He welcomed them and spoke to them about the kingdom of God, and healed those who needed healing. Late in the afternoon the Twelve came to him and said, “Send the crowd away so they can go to the surrounding villages and countryside and find food and lodging, because we are in a remote place here.” He replied, “You give them something to eat.”They answered, “We have only five loaves of bread and two fish—unless we go and buy food for all this crowd.” (About five thousand men were there.)But he said to his disciples, “Have them sit down in groups of about fifty each.” The disciples did so, and everyone sat down. Taking the five loaves and the two fish and looking up to heaven, he gave thanks and broke them. Then he gave them to the disciples to distribute to the people. They all ate and were satisfied, and the disciples picked up twelve basketfuls of broken pieces that were left over.
Then he went down to Nazareth with them and was obedient to them. But his mother treasured all these things in her heart.
I will give you the _____ of the kingdom of heaven; whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven.”
Moses slaughtered the ram and took some of its ______ and put it on the lobe of Aaron’s right ear, on the thumb of his right hand and on the big toe of his right foot.
As the Lord commanded Moses, Aaron put the _____ with the tablets of the covenant law, so that it might be preserved. The Israelites ate manna forty years, until they came to a land that was settled; they ate manna until they reached the border of Canaan.
