Paragraph Types
This type of paragraph tells you about how something or someone looks or feels. It gives you an impression or sets a scene.
Descriptive paragraph
Writing is so much fun, and I really enjoy narrative paragraphs.
Compound
Bob said, Come on, everyone, let's go to the beach.
Missing quotation marks:
Bob said, "Come on, everyone, let's go to the beach."
In this sentence, "hard" is an adjective. True or false?

False. "Hard" is an adverb in this sentence.

This type of paragraph divides a process into several steps. It tells you how to do something.
Process paragraph
My friends and I went out for dinner and saw a movie.
Simple
California is my favorite state. Because there are beaches and beautiful mountains.
The second sentence is a fragment. Delete the period and make the "b" lowercase: "California is my favorite state because there are beaches and beautiful mountains."
"That tall mountain is beautiful." What is the predicate adjective?

This type of paragraph provides a stance and supporting reasons for that stance. It tries to convince the reader to agree with the writer's point.
Persuasive paragraph

Complex

1. The second sentence is a fragment. Turn the period after "Adams" into a comma.

Correct sentence: "I don't want to alarm you, but there is a very large beetle next to your foot. Be careful when you get up."
"The person that you are looking for does not live here anymore so you will need to go somewhere else to look." Explain what's wrong with this sentence.
Two things: You need to put a comma before the coordinating conjunction "so," and you should use "who" instead of "that" when writing an adjective clause about a person.
