What is The Bill of Rights?
A group of citizens who decide on a court case
What is a jury?
This amendments gives citizens the right to bear arms, the right to own a gun
What is the second amendment?
Guarantees a right to a jury trial in civil cases
What is the 7th Amendment
Issued by a court or judge, this Allows the police to legally arrest, search or seize
What is a warrant?
The 5 freedoms guaranteed under the First Amendment
What is speech, assembly, petition, press, religion?
Protects you from an unreasonable search or seizure of your person, house, papers and effects.
What is the 4th Amendment?
This amendment outlaws cruel and unusual punishments
What is the Eighth Amendment?
This allows newspapers and other agencies to report or print news and express opinions
What is freedom of the press?
This allows people to gather in groups.
What is freedom of assembly?
Reserves for the states the powers not granted to the federal government.
What is the 10th amendment?
You are told you must wait 3 years for a trial by a jury.
This amendment prevents that from happening.
What is the 6th Amendment?
States that other rights and liberties not listed in the Constitution are kept by the people.
What is the 9th amendment?
This allows people to ask the government to correct the ideas they do not agree with
What is freedom of petition?
If a defendant cannot afford one of these, one will be provided for them by the government
What is a lawyer?
You are driving with your friends in your car and are stopped by the police. This amendment protects you from an unreasonable search.
What is The fourth amendment?
The Constitutional Amendment that gives you "the right to remain silent." (It also says you can't be tried twice for the same crime or be deprived (not given) of life, liberty or property without "due process of law".)
What is the 5th Amendment
Gives the people the right to peaceably assemble.
What is the 1st amendment?
The government wants to take your home to build a road. Eminent domain guarantees you fair compensation due to this amendment.
What is the 5th amendment?
A neighbor went hunting with a gun owner's license, but the police tried to take her gun away. This protects her right to own a gun.

Laws that all 50 states must follow.
What are federal laws?
The Constitutional Amendment that prevents citizens from being forced to quarter soldiers.

The individual responsible for swearing in each witness in a trial.
Who is the Baliff?
This means people are given a trial by jury and can be provided a lawyer.
What is due process?
A police officer pulls you over for speeding and swerving all over the road. He is allowed to search your car because of this.
