The 1st Amendment clause that allows everyone to practice their religion as they choose

1st Amendment clause that prohibits the government from making any laws that establish religion

The government must follow certain legal procedures before they deprive someone of their freedom or property
Gideon v. Wainwright
Gideon was charged with a crime & denied an attorney, he took the case to the Supreme Court & they ruled that his rights were violated & that you have the right to an attorney for all cases even if you can't afford one
