Amy Farrah Fowler is a Neurobiologist and Sheldon Cooper is a Theoretical Physicist. Amy Farrah Fowler suffered from depression and eventually develops an addiction to drugs after years of difficult research. Sheldon Cooper had struggled with ADHD most of his career as well as intense anxiety and depression. After a few years of marriage Dr. Fowler becomes pregnant with twins because of her addiction she did not stop using during pregnancy. After the twins turned 10 one developed ADHD and the other had intense anxiety. What does Nature Vs. Nurture discuss about the twins development of ADHD and Anxiety?

The Nature vs. Nurture approach would discuss Dr. Fowlers drug use during pregnancy as one factor, but it would also study Dr. Coopers and Dr. Fowlers combined medical history. Realistically parts of the twins birthing environment, development environment and genetic disposition would be studied to determine the possible reasons behind the twins ADHD and Anxiety.

Dr. Leonard Hofstadter and his wife Penny Hofstadter undergo a terrible car accident. After the accident Mrs. Hofstadter develops mild concussions and semi-permanent memory loss. As the driver Dr. Hofstadter's injuries were more intense he sustained broken ribs, a shattered collar bone and a countercoup TBI. (countercoup Traumatic Brain Injury is when the brain hits one side of the skull and the opposite side to it gets injured) In this scenario what would Biopsychology focus on studying?

For Mrs. Hofstadter we would study her concussions and memory loss as well as her physical reactions after her concussion combined with her mental faculties despite her memory loss. Dr. Hofstadter's shattered collar bone and broken ribs would be studied but the focus would be on his Traumatic Brain Injury because he is more likely to sustain semi- or permanent Brain damage after or during the healing of his TBI.
