What is a increase in buildings and infastructure?
What is Urbanization?
What does Biology mean?
What is the study of life?
What is Abiotic?
What is nonliving things that suppoort life?
What is a producer?
What is a living thing that gets its energy through photosynthesis.
What is carry capacity?
What is the maximum population (as of deer) that an area will support without undergoing deterioration.
What is a ecosystem?
What is a community of living organisms (plants, animals, microbes) interacting with their non-living physical environment (like water, soil, sunlight, temperature) within a particular area, where all components are interconnected through nutrient cycles and energy flows
What is living that supports life.
What is biotic?
What is a trophic cascade?
What are powerful indirect interactions that can control entire ecosystems.
What happened to the Elk Population when the wolves were taken out of the ecosystem?
What is increase in population.
What is Biodiversity?
What is the variety of life on Earth, including the number of species, their genetic variation, and how they interact within ecosystems
What were wolves removed from Yellowstone?
due to federal and state predator control efforts, as well as trophy hunting and conflict with ranchers
AKA:HUMAN IMPACT
What is the highest level on the Trophic level?
What are the Quaternary Consumers (Apex predators).
What are some carrying capacities that will effect the population in the year 2100?
What is lack of healthcare, housing, food, pollution, global warming and jobs.
What is the Seasonal rounding?
What is a cyclical pattern of activities that take place at the same time each year, relating to the availability of food and other resources
What will our population look like in the year 2100?
What is the prediction of 10.3 billion people in the world.
Can a species be in more then one trophic level?
What is yes!
Explain How the beaver population was indirectly effected by the elk population increase.
Beaver population was inderectly effected by the Elk by the elk murking the waters because they were not being hunted. This messed us the beavers ecosystems. The elk also over ate the trees and vegatation not allowing beavers to build colonies. They had no protection from predators.
What is happening to the diversity population of arthropods in the world and why?
What is the population dying off due to urbanization, pollution and global warming.
What impacts did forced relocation have on the Kalapuya's seasonal rounding?
The Kalapuya's were forced to certain location not allowing them to travel through the state. This did not allow the ecosystem to regenerate and thing were depleted.
How is energy transfered in the trophic levels.
From producers up by 10% each level.
