This is the coldest biome found in polar or higher temperate regions

This grassland has no seasons and is hot/warm all year

All the ways that water returns to the Earth from the atmosphere are collectively called this term

Deforestation or Logging
These forests have trees with needle shaped leaves that stay on all year
Taigas or Coniferous Forests
This is the driest of all biomes and may be very hot or very cold
Desert
This grassland has seasons where summers may be very hot and winters very cold
Prairie
To be tropical, a biome is generally close to this line of latitude:
Equator
This man-made problem is gradually changing the environment of the tundra
Global Warming or Climate Change
These forests on the NW US coast have a lot of precipitation, and seasons which are mild.
Temperate Rain Forests
This dry area has a milder climate than the desert as it is found near coasts (parts of California, Mediterranean Sea)

Of all the biomes, the savanna is not found in the US, but mostly in what continent(s) ?
Africa (and South America)
To be temperate, a biome has to be north of this line of latitude (or south of a line on the the other side...)
Tropic of Cancer (N) (Tropic of Capricorn (S))
In California, urban sprawl along the coast has impacted much of this biome
Chaparral
These forests have seasons, as the leaves change color and fall each year
