What is the Cranial cavity?
Fixed lines of reference along which the body is often divided or sectioned.
What are the body planes?
Means to the front (belly) side of the body
What is Anterior?
Means towards or near the medial plane/midline.
What is Medial?
Meaning toward the head.
What is Cranial?
The three cavities that make up the Ventral Cavity.
What are the Thoracic, Abdominal, and Pelvic?
Divides the body into anterior and posterior sections.
What is Frontal Plane?
Away from the medial plane or midline.
What is Lateral?
Below another structure.
What is Inferior?
The stomach and bladder are contained in this cavity.

Divides body into top (superior) and bottom (inferior) parts.

Means the back side of the body.

Above another structure.

Means on or near the surface.

Divides the body into two equal parts.

Means away from the point of attachment to the trunk.

Near the point of attachment toward the trunk.

Located in the cranial cavity
