Process of discovery of the neutron
1. Electrons have no mass 2. Something else apart from protons was adding the mass 3. Projected alpha particles at Beryllium and saw that there was no charge

1. play a huge role in nuclear power 2. led to the first man made nucleus 3. led to the first man made nuclear weapons 4. Nobel Peace prize in Physics for Chadwick's discovery of the neutron
500
How proton was discovered
In the gold foil experiment, Rutherford discovered the atom had a concentrated positive charge that has most of the atom's mass. He suggested that the nucleus contained a particle with a positive charge which is the proton.
