In the mornings, how should you sit in the gym?

Where do you put your backpack in the mornings if you need breakfast?
Students' backpacks and personal items will stay with them while they sit down to eat. Take them to the cafeteria with you while you eat.
When playing games with others...
make sure all friends agree on and know the rules to the game that is being played.
Include others when playing.
What game is only allowed in the grass area and not the concrete?

What is the important rule to follow with the rocks?
Rocks stay on the GROUND. Do not throw rocks, or put them on the playground equipment.
What is the voice level expected during morning gym time before school?
Voice levels should be on a whisper or level 1
How should you sit at the cafeteria tables for breakfast and lunch?
Sit on your bottom, body facing the table, and feet under the table in front of you.
Do we use bleachers at recess?
No, they are off limits. We do not go on the bleachers during recess time (this includes walking on, sitting on, standing on).
Rules with Soccer Goals...
Share the goals with others, and use them properly.
Do not hang on the goals posts or pull the nets from the goals.
What are the rules with swings?
Sit on your bottom, facing forward on the swings, one person on swing at a time.
Swing forward, not side to side.
No twisting the swings.
If walking by swings, walk around and pay attention so you don't get hit.
Can you have food in the gym during the morning before school?
No
Food and drinks are to be had in the cafeteria, NOT in the gym.
What voice level should you be on in the cafeteria?
Voice Level 1 and 2 are allowed.
Remember there are 5 other classes in the cafeteria at lunch with you. It can get loud very quickly, so it is very important to keep our voice levels low. We have Ms. Farrow and Ms. Holowell who are having classes during our lunch time, and we need to be respectful of their classes.
If concrete only, what is NOT allowed on the concrete?
No balls or jump ropes (the concrete area will be too crowded to use these materials safely)
Are gymnastics allowed during recess? Must explain why or why not.
No. Gymnastics are not allowed at recess. You could get hurt without having a mat and proper equipment.
Rules for slides?
Only slide down the slide. No climbing/walking up slides.
Sit on your bottom when sliding.
Wait for your turn, only one person at a time on the slide.
Where will you sit in the gym before school?
How do you know where to sit?
In Mrs. Moore's 3rd grade line.
There will be a sign with Mrs. Moore's name that you will line up behind.
What does lights off in the cafeteria mean?
When lights numbered 1 and 2 are turned off, students are to be at a level ZERO to allow teachers to speak.
Where do we line up when it is time to go inside?
Run quickly to the yellow parking lot lines, find our class line and stand in number order on a level zero.
What do you do if the ball goes down the back or side hills?
Come tell the teacher on duty, and ask if you can go get it. NEVER go down to get a ball unless you have permission from your teacher. If you are given permission, once you have the ball look back and wave at the teacher so they know you are back with the ball.
Rules for monkey bars and parallel bars...
Go in one direction on the monkey bars, one person at a time.
Do not sit on the top of the bars.
Standing on top of the monkey bars, high/low bars, or parallel bars is NOT allowed.
Where do you go in the morning when you arrive to school?
If you need breakfast, you will go to the cafeteria to eat, and then when done walk to the gym.
If you do not need a school breakfast, you will go straight to the gym and sit in our class line.
What do you do when you are dismissed from the table? List ALL 4 steps!
When a child is dismissed from the cafeteria they will:
1. Place utensils in a bowl on the desk
2. Place milk carton in first trash can (if milk is NOT opened, place in the bowl with ice)
3. Empty trash and dump remaining food in the last trash can(s) (make sure trash goes into trash can, not the floor)
4. Then stack empty trays on the cart (located next to the outside door) before they exit. Make sure trays are stacked all in the same direction, lining up with the other.
What do you do when you hear a whistle outside?
Stop playing and look at the teacher on duty. Watch for instruction from playground teachers and follow quickly.
Where can you play in the grass?
Field only, NOT under the tree up on the hill, and not on or down the hills
Tether ball rules...
Pay attention and keep your eye on the ball so you don't get hit.
