Why do we need healthy boundaries?

It is one of the ways that we can protect ourself

100

You and your best friend are always together. Unhealthy?

If you want to hang out with someone else or to be alone, and they make you feel bad for leaving them, that is unhealthy

100

How will my classmates know what my boundaries are?

I tell them clearly what I like and don't like

200

You ask a friend to do something and they say, "only if you do _____ for me".

This is an example of what?

UNHEALTHY BOUNDARY

They are manipulating you by using the thing that you want against you

They are focusing on winning instead of compromising

200

If my teacher asks me to do more work than I can handle right now I can ...

Ask to work in partners/small groups

or

Ask to break it into smaller parts and to do one part at a time

300

There is a really cool person that I want to be friends with but they sometimes they do stuff I don't want to do.

What should I do if they invite me to do it with them?

Tell them "no, thank you".

If they make you feel bad for your decision, you could say:

"Even though I don't want to, I want to still be friends"

300

When I am in class, how can I do my work and have fun with my friends at the same time?

Set boundaries with time.

Decide how many minutes to get work done and how many minutes for talking

400

Wanting a relationship to always stay the same. Unhealthy?

Yes, it is not realistic.

Becoming dependent on someone will cause intense anxiety and limit personal growth.

It is natural and healthy for individuals and partnerships to change. True stability comes from growing together

400

How are you going to respond when someones crosses the line?

Stay strong!

Letting it go may work one time

If you always let it go, people will think it is not important anymore

500

When someone isn't sure what they want or need yet. Unhealthy?

YES!

If someone doesn't know their boundaries, they won't realize when it has been crossed.

When people "ghost" you, they want you to know that you crossed a boundary without having to tell you.

500

When we go to school, they have their own rules about boundaries. Why would boundaries be important at school?

So that students feel safe and can focus on their school work.
