How does the process of building a boat relate to the way the scientific process works?
What is Building a boat relates to the scientific process in many ways. First, you have to ask a question and when you make a boat, you have to ask how you could make a good boat. Second, you have to research background information. For your boat, you also have to figure out what will make it float and how are we going to shape it right so it could float.

Why did you make the changes you made?
Instead of making a big, thick boat, we made a thin boat that was a little smaller. We did this because we noticed that the thin boats were floating better than the thick boats.

What boat designs didn't seem to work well? What is it about these designs that made them less successful or unsuccessful?
The boat designs that didn’t work so well were the ones that were thick. They didn’t hold a lot of marbles than the others. They had thick sides and a thick base but they didn’t displace a lot of water so therefore didn’t float as long.
