What is the endocrine system?
We are the cells that make up the brain.

I am the tiny space between neurons where chemical communication takes place.

This type of scan can show a working brain by using different colors.
What is a PET scan?
This lobe processes touch, spatial relationships and information processing.

This gland regulates metabolism.

I am the part of the autonomic nervous system that calms you down.

I am near the top of the brainstem and I control body movements and motor memory.

This refers to the brain's ability to change.

These glands control salt and water balance and the body's response to stress.

I am the "fingers" on a neuron that reach out to neighboring neurons.

I am between the old and new brains and I sort data and send it to the right place (kind of like a router).

A person who suffered a stroke in this hemisphere might lose the ability to speak.
What is the left hemisphere?
Homunculus represents the amount of space on this part of the brain dedicated to each part of the body's surface.
