Lapel mic
Ensure that the back end (tech end) is running smoothly; in charge of operating equipment and monitor the broadcast.
Broadcast Technician
A broad range of stories that include anything from pop culture to celebrity news to restaurant reviews to local festivals and celebrations.

A question asked merely for rhetorical effect and not requiring an answer
Rhetorical question

Voiceover
This person outlines the newscasts; choose which stories to air and in what order. Mainly responsible for the content; checks stories for accuracy.
News Director
Stories that highlight interesting people, places, events, etc.

leading question
Rehearsal without equipment, during which the basic actions of the talent are worked out. Also called blocking rehearsal.
Dry run
Help to write and edit scripts for the newscasts, work to ensure content is engaging and are constantly looking for more news.
News Writer or Editor
Longer, well researched stories that describe a particular issue in great detail.
In depth/Investigative
divides the frame into 9 sections; Line your subject up with one of the corners of the center box
Rule of Thirds
A series of questions that begin broadly and lead the responder to more specific questions
Funnel questions
A series of video, voiceover, sound on tape, etc. that tells a complete story; introduced by the anchor; narrated by the reporter 1:30-2 minutes
