Automatic Funds Transfer (AFT) can be completed by anyone, teller or CSS. Explain how to complete this maintenance and what are the limitations.
Utilize Electronic Forms and select "Automatic Funds Transfer (AFT) Authorization Form. Limitations: Bank to bank transfers unless paying a BSB loan from another FI. We cannot set up an AFT to transfer funds from a BSB account to another FI.
Explain what No Return Benefit (NRB) is.
NRB is a "safety net" for a checking account, for the just in case situations a customer's baalnce goes into the negative due to an ACH, debit card transaction, or a recurring payment. NRB allows customers to pay their bills even if they do not have the funds in their account, but will get charged a $29.00fee per transaction (up to 3 transactions a day). Account needs to be open for at least 30 days and meet deposit requirements before having NRB attached to the account.
