Believe it or not, Murder Mystery 2 was not an original idea. The inspiration for MM2 stems from a 2006 sandbox game developed by Facepunch Studios. The game features no objectives and provides players an entire world to explore and manipulate objects in. A player-created experience inside this game called ‘Murderer’ inspired the creation of Murder Mystery 2.
