Students in year 10 and their Parents/Carers have a meeting with a school representative and choose either a White, Mint or Green Pathway for their final 2 years of secondary schooling.
What is a SET Plan Interview?
A fee free course that can be undertaken with an RTO, either at school or offsite from the age of 15 at either a certificate I, II or III level.
What is a VETiS funded course?
The application process to apply for direct entry into university or diploma courses
What is QTAC?
An VET Pathway option for students that can be undertaken whilst on a White or Mint Pathway, it requires you to do paid work one day a week and complete a VET qualification with an RTO.
What is a School-based Apprenticeship or Traineeship (SAT)?
Undertake unpaid placement in a business environment to discover your likes and dislikes when making decisions about future careers.
What is Work Experience?
The name given to the Certificate you achieve upon successfully completing Senior Schooling.
What is a Queensland Certificate of Education (QCE)?
A organisation that offers teaching and training in Certificate I to Diploma level courses
What is a Registered Training Organisation (RTO)?
The selection rank is a numerical score between 1 and 99 (99 is the highest), used to compare different qualifications on the same scale for the purpose of tertiary entrance.
What is an ATAR Selection Rank?
Student undertaking paid work and training 1 day week over 12-18 months.
What is a Traineeship?
The process undertaken at school in order to gain approval to undertake a VET Pathway?
What is a VET Pathways Interview?
This Pathway allows for entry into TAFE or skilled employment.
What is a White Pathway?
A reference number made up of a combination of letters and numbers giving student access to training records and transcripts.
What is a USI?
Application which is completed to apply to undertake further study at a university.
What is a QTAC application?
Student undertaking paid work and training, 1 -2 days a week over 4 years.
