Guidance staff receives in interpreting screening and evaluation results and understanding the follow-up needed.
What are: Debby does the Vision and Hearing Screenings--she talks to the teacher and families about the results and explains when a referral is needed and what the individual results mean. Debby uses her Outlook calendar and events shared with staff to communicate upcoming appointments and screening dates. Teachers receive annual training on the ASQ and ASQ-SE Screenings we use (developmental and behavioral). Heather meets with teachers regularly and discusses the results of each individual child and if and when a referral is needed. Both use therapist reports to track progress once services begin.
