What is Bullying?
Bullying is deliberate psychological, emotional and/or physical harassment of a person. It can be by one person or a group. Bullying can either be physical, verbal or emotional. It can be explained to younger children as being any act which causes unhappiness or pain to another person.

When someone is excluded from a group on purpose, spreading rumors, or making fun of someone because of differences.

Make sure an adult knows what is happening to you. Talk to school administrators, teachers, parents and students. If problems occur in your school, press harassment charges against the family of the person who is bullying you.

Children who witness repeated bullying may become desensitized and lose the ability to recognize the detriments to aggressive behavior. Children's empathy for victims decreases as they get older, which affects whether they are likely to intervene in a bullying situation.
