How do you look at your photos?
By Pressing the play button (rectangle with a triangle in it, next to the bottom right of your screen)
What happens if you lower your ISO?
Your image gets darker because the camera lets in more light.
What does ISO do?
It controls how much light is let into your camera to create your image. Decides how bright or how dark your image is.
What is Simplicity?
When there is no clutter in your image. The only real thing in your frame is the subject.
What are the two main pieces of the camera that connect to eachother?
The lens and the camera body
What is the Main Dial on the top of your camera used for?
To change your camera settings
What does the shutter do?
Opens and closes the stop the camera from recording the light to take the image.
How to change your ISO on your camera?
Hit the Q button and use the arrow keys to move over to the ISO and change from there. You have to his the SET button to get your ISO to stay.
What do leading lines do?
They lead your eye in a direction. Typically in the direction of the subject.
What is the setting called when the person controlling the camera is deciding what is happening? What is called on the camera body and on the lens?
Manual. On the body its called manual on the lens its called manual focus.
How do you change from seeing what you are photographing on the screen or view finder?
By pressing the live view shooting button next to the view finder, has a small camera on it.
What does the mirror do and where is it?
Inside the camera body. It reflects the light onto the sensor to capture the image.
If it is bright outside my ISO number will be high or low? why?
low. Because it is bright so the camera only needs to let in a little bit of light to make the image.
Why can forced perspective be difficult.
Because it can be hard to set your subjects up to make one look larger than the other.
What are pixels?
The tiny little square of light that are turned into color and make an image
How do you change the camera from AF to MF? Where is it? What does this mean?
By moving the switch on the lens.
Autofocus-the camera does it for you
Manualfocus - the operator has to do it
What is the viewfinder and what is its job?
It is the window you look through to see what you are about to take an image of. Its job is to show you what you are about to photograph.
How do you know your ISO is too high or too low? Why?
The image will be really black or pure white because it is either not letting in enough light or is letting in too much.
What does composition help you do?
Create a more interesting and appealing image that makes the viewer want to look at it.
What were photos originally taken on? (Think something heavy) How were they taken
Glass plates. The plates were covered in chemicals and then the chemicals dissolved when exposed to light and created an image.
What does the Q button do?
Let's you see your settings and change the settings you are currently using.

If I take an picture and when I look at it it is all white what is wrong and how do I fix it?
The camera let too much light it. You need to lower the ISO to let in less light.
Name the four composition types and what they are
RO3RDS: subject off to the side and not in the middle of the image.
SMPLCTY: No clutter. Easy to focus on the subject
LDNG LNES: Lines in the image go in the direction of the subject. They lead your eye through the image.
FRCD PRSPCTV: Something looks larger than something else by placing one object closer to the camera and another farther away.
What file type do we save our files in? When I am done photoshopping an image I do what? When I need to keep working on it I do what?
