What is student work? Why do students do it?

Student work exists to help minimize the cost of school. Each student does 5 hours of work throughout the week and are paid with an invisible income. 

Examples of student work: Cleaning the dorm, doing dishes, helping in the kitchen, yearbook, etc.

What is the deacon's track?

It is a program designed for those who might wrestle with meeting academic requirements in the original program. Students will take the same courses but will have different assignments. With different academic requirements, students are placed in vocational settings for 8 hours a week to grow in practical life skills.

NBC partners with Ethnos Canada - this allows students to participate in overseas ministry opportunities while getting credits for them. **

Students are encouraged to serve in their local church (ie, helping in Sunday School, leading music, Awana)

**FMP/OMP: The freshmen typically serve in First Nations and camp contexts and the second years part-take in inner city ministry/Street ministry in Edmonton.
