This group of stakeholders pays a self-imposed fee of roughly $13.41 each semester to the Sustainable Humboldt Innovative Futures Trust, or "S.H.I.F.T" to create a more sustainable campus by implementing projects inspired by student ideas. Projects the fund has paid for in the past include a small solar array, lighting upgrades, water bottle refill stations, and compost bins, among many others.

Fun fact: Over time, Humboldt has increased our STARS rating from 55.01 (Silver rating, 2013) to 76.57 (Gold rating, 2023), which represents a more than 20 point increase in our performance over time!!
