Serena Williams has a cumulative GPA of 3.5, and a pre-req GPA of 3.0. She is interested in our program but is also exploring admission into a few different programs. Can she be pre-app'd?
Yes! She does not have to be 100% committed to our program to move her into pre-app. If she is in agreement with the plan you discussed you can pre-app the student.
Zendaya, a recent high school graduate, wants to become an OTA. She has a 2.7 GPA from high school and hasn't yet done any college coursework. Can she be pre app'd for Winter?
Yes! She can be pre-app'd. Confirm her GPA verbally- you do not necesarrily need the unofficial to do a preliminary review. She will need to submit the official if she applies.
Wilma Flinstone has a high school diploma and college credits from the Philippines. It will likely take 3 months to receive all of her documents for her application. Can she be pre-app'd?
Yes! Pre-app for the upcoming term. If we have to ultimately push them, it's okay.

No! Because he isn't committed to raising his GPA, we should hold off on pre-apping the student. However, we should do at least 5 follow up attempts before we fail the student out.

No. Because you did not determine a term or a plan, she should not be moved to pre-app. However, you should continue a 5 attempt contact strategy.
Christopher Robin is a junior in High school. He graduates in May 2024. He really thinks he wants to be an OTA. Should he be pre-app'd?
No. This is because he is over a year away from graduating. You can fail this file out and ask them to reach out down the road if they are still interested. However, you should still give them general information about OTA and provide a good student experience
Zac Efron received a bachelors degree overseas. He said WES can create his evaluation in 4 weeks. Can he be pre-app'd for Winter or do I need to wait for his evaluation?
Yes! You can pre-app while we wait for their evaluation. The same rules apply for a bachelors or associates overseas. If it is equivalent to regionally accredited, you can assume their LIFE courses are fulfilled. However, assume none of their pre-reqs will transfer.
Carrie Bradshaw went to college in 2000. She did poorly her first semester due to attending numerous swanky college parties. She has a cumulative GPA of 2.2. After crunching numbers on your prelim sheet you see she needs at least 18 credits at a 3.0 to get her to a cumulative GPA of 2.42. She's already signed up for classes. She has a pre-req GPA of 3.0. Can she be pre-app'd? AND if so,when should she be PA'd for?
Yes!Carrie deserves a second chance if shes willing to work for it. She likely won't make Winter however. Aim for a Summer 2023 or Fall 2023 start and continue to work with the student.
Arya Stark did an Occupational Therapy Aide program at Penn Foster. She received a 2.4. She has no other credits. Should she be pre-app'd for Winter?
No, Penn Foster is nationally accredited. She needs a 2.5 or better. She should attend a community college and establish a GPA of 2.5 or higher with at least 9 credits. However, if she does enroll at the community college you can pre-app for a future start (SU23 or FA23)
Walter White has a 4.0 Bachelor's degree in Chemistry. It looks like he is missing some pre-reqs. He is strongly considering taking them at St. Kate's but wants to just look into Albuquerque Community College to see if they're offered. Otherwise, he loves the idea of Winter and is good with the cost. Can I pre-app him for Winter?
Yes! Absolutely. If he agreed to the plan you can still pre-app him for Winter. If he looks into Albuquerque Community College and wants to do pre-reqs there, we can update his start in SF. But he should absolutely be staged at Pre-App.
Heromine graduates Hogwarts high school on April 30th! She is so excited. Can she be pre-app'd? And what is the soonest term that she can be pre-app'd for?
Yes!! Fall 2023 is the soonest.

Patrick Mahomes has a cumulative GPA of 2.43 with a pre-req GPA of 2.5. He has completed all of his pre-requisites. Can he be pre-app'd to be admitted provisionally admitted for Winter?
No. Patrick needs to raise his pre-req GPA to a 2.75. If he does this, he can be provisionally admitted. He should re-take pre-reqs for better grades. However, he can be pre-app'd for Summer or Fall if he is willing to re-take the pre-reqs.
Ron Weasley completed an OTA program in London. However, the US doesn't recognize it. He has moved to Texas and wants to practice as an OTA. He needs to enroll in our program in order to sit for the national exam. All of his schooling was done in the U.K. He already has an evaluation from WES with a 3.5 GPA. Can we pre-app him for Winter?
Yes! He will need to have his WES evaluation sent when he applies. However, he should qualify based on his GPA.
Meghan Markle has a 2.7 cumulative and a 2.0 pre-req GPA. She has only taken General Psychology and needs three more pre-reqs which she wants to do at St. Kate's. Can I pre-app her for Winter 2023?
