What is Dashboard
This is a person who helps me select my courses.
What is an Advisor
These courses are typically taken during the freshman and the beginning of the sophomore year of college.
General Education classes.
A form that allows parents access to the student's information, such as grades.
What is PIE (Partners in Education)
This is the date and time assigned to each student for registering each semester.
What is priority registration?
This is where I find out my grade in this class.
Gradebook
This is a four-year course schedule based on degree requirements in the undergraduate catalog.
What is an "Academic Map"
These classes are open to any student. These courses are not required for their major, but do count for hours.
What are electives
If a student stops attending a class and fails to drop it, this will be recorded on the student's permanent record and may have financial consequences.
What is Failure to Attend (FA)
This is a person who can help you obtain an unofficial or official transcript, grade reporting, and graduation status.
What is the Registrar
This is where all the class content is stored, including PowerPoint presentations, readings, and assignments.
Modules
This is a resource where I can research undergraduate courses, regulations, policies, and procedures, as well as course descriptions.
What is the Catalog
These courses are designated for students with a grade point average of 3.25 or higher.
What are honors classes?
This is where a student cannot attend school due to unsatisfactory progress: the student received a warning after the first semester for not passing 65% of their classes, and the following semester did not successfully pass any classes. This is called?
What is academic suspension.
This is where a student does not meet the academic standards during the academic term.
a 2.00 GPA for current term, OR
2. meet one of the following retention standards:
00-29.99 GPA hours: 1.50 overall combined GPA
30-49.99 GPA hours: 1.80 overall combined GPA
50 or more GPA hours: 2.00 overall combined GPA
What is probation.
This is where I can see what my professor wants me to complete for this class.
Assignments
This is a five-digit number that identifies each individual course offered during the semester.
What is Course registration number (CRN)
This student is defined as having fewer than 11 credit hours.
What is a part-time student
This is where a student did not pass 67% of their classes for the semester. They received a warning message from the financial aid department.
What is Financial Aid suspension.
This can be earned by any student who obtains a grade point average of 3.5 or greater. It also goes on your transcript.
What is Dean's List
This is where I can see the professor's expectations for the class.
What is the syllabus
This is a person who assists students with career and internship-related questions and advises students on course selections.
What is a faculty advisor
These classes are designed to engage students with reflective and integrative thinking both inside and outside of the classroom.
What is MT Engage student.
This is a process that a student can complete by contacting the MT OneStop if they feel they can no longer continue with the class or classes. The date that you complete this process may impact the grade you get and if there are financial consequences.
What is a withdrawal.
This is a resource you can use to get help in any class you may be struggling in at MTSU.
