This class of drugs helps to relax both arterioles and veins and dilating coronary arteries. Resulting in decreased preload and decreased workload on the heart which decreases O2 demand on the heart. It can be given SL or IV or po. Must monitor BP. CP should be relieved with this medication

This drug is a K+ channel blocker given for ventricular dysrhythmias. It can cause digoxin and Coumadin toxicity as well as pulmonary toxicity when infused over a period of time. BP, HR photophobia can occur. Telemetry must be monitored

What are fibrinolytics/thombolytics retaplase/Retavase

This drug is only given IV Bolus over 1-2 seconds. It can make the client feel as if their heart stopped. It is given for serious atrial tachycardia's. Telemetry must be monitored.
