Tidal Volume (TV): The amount of air breathed in and out per breath - measured in Litres
Tide = in and out
Normal intake is around 500ml
During exercise it can increase to 4 Litres.
Respiratory Rate (RR): The amount of breaths taken per minute (similar to heart rate).
Measured in breaths per minute.
