Career Fair - General
It is what a person thinks of you when they first meet you.
What is a first impression?
Look over list of employers, see who interests you, then find out who they are, what they do, and why you want to work there.
What is research attending companies?
You introduce yourself, shake hands (or elbows) and share the main points about yourself when you meet these people?
What are recruiters, HR Managers or Supervisors?
Send to each recruiter you talked to, especially if you are considering future opportunities with the organization.
What is a thank you letter?

This must be done to be successful at a career fair.
What is prepare?
It's purpose is to provide a summary of your skills, abilities and accomplishments. This needs to be updated prior to the career fair.

Mail a letter and resume to these recruiters.

States who you are and why you are interested in the recruiter's organization in a short amount of time. Needs to be rehearsed prior to the career fair.

Game where students are divided into teams and compete against each other in a friendly game of Jeopardy to learn all about Career Fair Etiquette.

How many companies do you need to research?
At least three
Clean, pressed suit and professional tie with comfortable dress shoes. If you do not own a suit, a sports jacket is preferred.
What is dress attire for men?
Always ask the recruiter for this and use that to jot down some notes that will remind you about your conversation with the company representative.

What is a job fair or industry/career expo?
Clean pressed suit (pants or skirts). Skirts should be no shorter than 2" above the knee and comfortable, closed-toe pumps or flats. If you do not have a suit, wear a nice blouse and skirt or dress pants.
What is dress attire for women?
Do this, and it will help you stand out and make a better impression on the recruiter.
