If wine is stored properly it only gets better with age. Aged wine is often considered more complex as the primary notes can be overwhelming in a lot of young vintage wines. Many of the most expensive wines come from an old back stock of well preserved ancient wines.

Not all wine is designed nor even cable of being aged for any significant amount of time, and even if they are the ageing window is important to understand. There is a certain point where wine becomes too old.

Carson has completed the Bend Ale Trail which means that he has sampled brews from every brewery, of which there are over 40, in and around Bend, Oregon. A feat he completed in 4 days during which he tried roughly 150 different beers and discovered his love for fresh hop IPAs.

Carson tried over 200 different beers.

Carson and his roommates, Dean and Clay, have a trio of pathfinder 2e campaigns where each of them DM for the other two which they call "The Triad." The group is notorious for brutally killing enemies except in Dean's campaign; which features the party running and managing a circus.

The only party of characters that consistently and brutally kill are the Circus Performers, the other two parties hardly, if ever, kill enemies; even crazed monsters.

All of the men on Carson's dad's side, The Bennetts, have the initials CHB. With his dad, Charles Harrison Bennett, his brother Clay Henderson Bennett, and Carson himself: Carson Henry Bennett.

Being a film student, Carson was often asked what his favorite film was, and he would state that he doesn't have one. That was until he saw the legendary Godzilla: Minus One which immediately stood out as his all time favorite film, thereby finally giving him a response.

Nearly all of the states in the US make their own wine and some even specialties like New Mexico being home to the oldest wine making tradition in the states or Hawaii and it's focus on fruited wines.

Every state makes wine. Even Alaska which imports a lot of their grapes, but can grow and make ice wine natively.

Carson's trip to Mallorca, Spain is infamous with his roomates for how many things went wrong on that trip. Carson nearly drowned deep water solo-ing, Clay stepped on a Jellyfish, and Dean broke his toe. Despite this, Carson still wants to give Deep Water Solo-ing a second shot.

Carson already gave DWS a second shot just 1 day after he nearly drowned. He is still enthusiastic about doing it again.

Carson's first D&D character was a tiefling warlock named Vuers Alem. Vuers became infamous for his brutal combos but only ever reached level 11. That was until Carson played Vuers once more at level 20 for a Max-level all out one-shot.

Vuers was level 30 for the oneshot, the maximum level characters could achieve in D&D 4th Edition.

Carson was born prematurely and with jaundice. He had to be put into a baby light bed for hours at a time. He spent so much time in them that people thought his mother had cheated on her husband because he was so dark.  

Carson was not put into a light bed instead his grandparents left him out in the sun a lot. A lot a lot.

Anguirus, Carson's favorite kaiju, debuted in the 1955 film Godzilla: King of the Monsters. Though the film features his favorite kaiju, it is far from Carson's favorite Godzilla film, ranking it 38th out of 47 films.

Anguirus debuted in the 1955 film Godzilla Raids Again. Godzilla, King of the Monsters was the American re-release of the original film. While Carson ranked Godzilla, King of the Monsters at 38th, Raids again actually ranks lower at 43/47.

Carson not only likes to drink beer, but also likes to make it! This last march he even won 2nd place at a homebrewers festival with over fifty other brewers. His award winning brew was titled "The Deep" a high ABV German Quad. Which is a dark and heady beer that he used 30lb of grain to make!

After only a month living abroad in Spain, Carson (and his roomates) caved and purchased the game Arkham Horror. A game they already owned in the US and a copy that wasn't even in English. Despite this, they played the game often, manually translating each card.

In Carson's first ever D&D campaign, his character was incredibly powerful, taking advantage of brutal combos to deal absurd damage. In order to level the playing field, the DM gave Dean the Hand and Eye of Vecna, legendary living artifacts that greatly boost the user's magical powers.

The DM intended to give the Hand and Eye of Vecna to Carson because they thought it would make him less powerful. It was only after the group convinced him otherwise that the artifacts were given to Dean

For a few years now, Carson has wanted a tatoo of a dog rock climbing. He even has the exact design saved in his phone, he has just never gotten around to finding an artist or studio (or even deciding where he would want it).

Carson first took an interest in filmmaking in high school where he and his friends would make videos under the youtube handle "Av St Rage (avenue saint rage)" after the broken plaque on the AV closet where they would make their videos ( reading AV St_rage).

Despite referring to the closet itself as Avenue Saint Rage, the group's youtube handle was Purplesplodinpineappleproductions, a hastily made name that was originally for uploading school projects.

Carson's favorite wine is the gran reserva tondonia made by Lopez de Heredia. It is a red wine from Rioja, a Spanish wine making region famous for their bold reds that predominately use the tempranillo grape variety.

Carson's favorite wine at the moment is the gran reserva white wine made by Lopez de Heredia, and, in fact, they have three types of Gran Reserva Tondonia: white, red, and rose.

The last place Carson visited in Spain was the city of Haro in the Rioja region where he participated in the "Battle of Wine." The Battle is a traditional festival of parties that culminates in an all out wine-fight where participants can only wear white so as to leave stained and soaked in wine.

Though participants wear almost entirely white, they are also obligated to wear a traditional red bandana around their neck

Carson has played Magic the Gathering for many years now, starting from when he was quite young. After inherting a random assortment of cards, he and his brother would try their best to play the game. not really knowing how. Ignorance of the game didn't stop Carson, and he ended up entering a small magic tournament at the local game store. He was destroyed.

It was in fact a pokemon card game tournament, but he also did not know how that game was played either.

Carson's grandmother is obsessed with poison oak and ivy to such a point that she would feed him and his brother dried mango skin. This was to build up an immunity to poison oak and ivy which Carson still benefits from today. Something that you can benefit from too, and even read about in her book "The Poison Oak and Ivy Survival Guide".

Carson is no longer immune to posion oak and ivy.

In the film Godzilla, Mothra, King Ghidorah, Giant Monsters All out Attack! Alongside the titular cast of monsters, the film also features Baragon, Carson's second favorite kaiju, fighting against the radioactive terror Godzilla! Baragon was portrayed by the first female suit actor in a Godzilla film, Rie Ota, who became famous for her cute roars she would give Baragon while recording scenes.

Godzilla is not radioactive in this film, instead, he is made up of the ghosts of people whom Japan has wronged.

Nebbiolo is the lightest grape grown in the Piedmont region of Italy, and it's name even drives from the Italian word for cloud. This is because the clouds roll off the mountain ranges down over the vineyards providing crucial protection form the Italian sun.

Nebbiolo is in fact the heaviest of the main three grapes grown there with the descending order being Nebbiolo, Barbera, and Dolcetto.

Recently, Carson had the opportunity to attend a promotional pop-up by musical artist Red Leather, who was promoting their new album "Tahoe." At the pop-up, Carson enjoyed free drinks, made a t-shirt, got to talk to Red Leather, and even received a signed plastic mask from Red Leather himself.

Carson spoke with Black Leather, Red Leather's evil counter-part that was keeping them hostage at the event.

Carson has played in many ttrpg campaigns over the years, right now balancing somewhere around 16 active campaigns. Despite this Carson has only ever finished 1 campaign: Curse of Strahd all the way back in high school.

While Carson did complete Curse of Strahd, it was only after his third attempt in college. Both of previous attempts in high school crashed and burned.

For his 22nd birthday, Carson's friends planned a surprise Lord of the Rings Extended Edition Marathon. Unfortunately, Carson was able to figure out the surprise beforehand after 1. his friends that just blew him off to grab his cake drove right past him. 2. he saw a notification from a groupchat labeled "LOTR Carson Party" 3. and finally someone asked him if he was going to it.

Despite all of this, he never pieced it together and was genuinely surprised.
