Give mom the medical request form, scan it, and send it via email to medical and supervisors.

If a resident is crying because she hasn't spoken to her boyfriend in a long time and ask you to use your phone. What steps should you take?
Let the resident know that they cannot use your phone. Let TL/POC know immediately. TL/POC lets supervisors and CM know.
If the resident does not like the dinner, what are the next steps?
Offer leftover or a sandwich. If the resident still refuses, the resident is to sign a refusal form. Send email out to treatment team, Team Leads and supervisors.
If a baby falls and hits their head, with visible bleeding/bruising, what steps need to be followed?
Examine the baby, offer aid, and inform the on-call medical first and supervisor after. Follow the guidance given. Create an IR

If a resident is pregnant and her water breaks, what steps should you take?
Let medical and TL know immediately. Let a supervisor know. Inform the residents that she will be taken to the hospital. Offer help if needed. Ensure you have all the proper documents. Create an IR.
After a baby is born, what information needs to be given to the TL?

What is the difference between a room check and a room search?
Room Check: What you see displayed out in the open. Any maintenance that needs to be done.
Room Search: Deep search of their room. We can look through their items, including closets, bed and cabinets.
If there is a conflict between two residents, what do you do?
Separate the residents, de-escalate the situation. Offer alone time if needed. Notify supervisors/TL of the situation. Create a Peer IR. Send email.
Medication came in and it needs to be administered 3 times a day. At what times do you administer the medication?

If ICE shows up at the shelter wanting to speak to the staff and residents, what are the steps staff must take?
Let them in through the gate; take them to Cottage A or B; Contact APD or PD; Wait for further instructions. Do not speak with ICE Agents or provide any information. Do not inform the residents that ICE is present, as this can cause chaos among them. Wait for further instructions from a supervisor.
What is the 6 right of medication administration?
The right child; right medication; right dosage; right time; right route; right documentation.
What are the things we need to advise the resident as soon as they arrive?
Remind them that this is a shelter, not part of immigration. They do not pay for anything here. They will be signing documents shortly, but food will be offered first. If they need to shower, they have the right shower. A picture will be taken of them, and this will be part of their documents moving forward. They have the right to sleep before signing any documents.
