SPRING models are typically more complex and may include multiple behaviors for each CASE aspect
BLOOM models typically involve visuals/pictures and target only one behavior per CASE aspect
What is a Behavior Matrix?
Singles are handed out to students
Earned when desired behaviors are observed by staff.
Each student should earn a minimum of 2 per day
Students receive 1 per 100 points earned
Students exchange small bills for larger bills

What is Tools and Resources?

What is Classroom Reinforcement ?
CASE activities are open to all students while CASE incentive correlate with specific step levels
Bloom model students who exhibit high magnitude behaviors within the 24 hours leading up to the incentive and Spring model students who exhibit high magnitude behaviors within the week of the incentive, may result in eligible students being excluded from the incentive
Eligible students can not be excluded unless approved by classroom trainer

What is Responding to Challenging Behavior?
Clarifies what behaviors we want to see more effectively than generic language.
Proactively remind students of what to do.
Behavior specific praise let’s students know exactly what they have done correctly. This is a great way to connect behaviors to CASE aspects.
What is Using Behavior Specific Language ?
What happened? (Allow the student to tell their story withoutinterruption)
What could you have done differently? (Give the student anopportunity to take accountability, if needed)
What will you do differently next time? (Make a plan; practice howthe new behaviors will look if a similar situation arises)

Always be on the lookout for appropriate behavior and ready to acknowledge it when we see it.
