What is Free Application for Federal Student Aid?
CADAA filers must print out the registration form and mail it in. They should do this as soon as they turn 17 and three months old.
What is registration for Selective Service?
A federal program providing undergraduate and graduate students with part-time employment during the school year.
What is WORK STUDY?
A loan where the government pays the interest on the loan while the student is in school, during the six-month grace period and during any deferment periods.
SUBSIDIZED LOAN
Has a GPA requirement. If you’re applying using your high school GPA, you must have at least a 3.0 GPA. Requires that your course of study leads directly to an associate or bachelor’s degree, or qualifies you for transfer from a community college to a bachelor’s degree program

What is your 2020 tax returns?
The total amount of financial aid a student is to receive. May include grant, work-study, and loan funds from a variety of sources.
What is Financial Aid package?
The amount FAFSA determines a student and family can afford to pay each year for college expense.
EFC (Estimated Family Contribution)
Assists with the costs of a technical or career education. Is available for up to two years. Even though a GPA is not required to apply for it, you’re still encouraged to submit yours because it can only help your chances of receiving an award.
What is Cal Grant C?
High School Students who receive a Cal Grant but don’t wish to use it immediately can place it “on hold” for up to two academic years.

COA (Cost of Attendance)
If you are or were in foster care for at least one day, between the ages of 16 and 18 as a dependent or ward of the court and have financial need, you may qualify for up to $5,000 a year for career and technical training or college. You don’t have to pay this money back. You may also be able to use your grant to help pay for child care, transportation and rent while you’re in school.

It is the principal state agency responsible for administering financial aid programs for students attending public and private universities, colleges, and vocational schools in California.
