A customer comes in with an open faucet, opened tool kit, and light bulbs. But has a receipt. How do you proceed with this transaction.

You should ALWAYS look in EVERY box of anything anyone is returning. For example, tools, plumbing merchandise, and gladiators. If the product looks in good condition and you have cross referenced date of purchase has been within 30 days, and the model # matches. Then you may return it but call a head cashier to double check. When returning anything tools or faucets or anything that isn't visible through box call a head cashier to customer service to validate that return.

You would use GOV and inform the customer that the tags on the merchandise haven't been taken off. You offer to deactivate those for Justin as you are validating the receipt. So the customer walks back with you and deactivate the merchandise. You apologize to the customer about the situation and hands him him his merchandise. Then you push the button on the EAS and press "failed to deactivate." All that should be done in 14 seconds.
