- Jesus was in the wilderness and fasted for 40 days and 40 nights. The devil tempted Jesus three times - telling him to change the stones into bread, to jump from a high place and let God save him, and to worship him (the devil). All three times, Jesus quoted scripture and said no. When the devil left, the angels took care of Jesus.

Adam and Eve had two sons - Cain and Abel. Abel gave his very best to God while Cain didn't, and so God favored Abel. Cain became jealous and killed Abel. When God asked about Abel, Cain tried to hide what he had done (but you can't hide things from God!). God cursed/banished him - but God also still protected Cain from others.
