Who was St. Peter?
The most important part of the mass revolves around it.
Hint: It is also a sacrament.
What is the Eucharist?
The place we go when we die to be cleansed to eventually enter Heaven.
Hint: We go here so we are worthy to enter heaven, and very few enter Heaven without coming here first.
What is Purgatory?
The man who invited his family from Canaan to live with him in Egypt.
Hint: His family become the Israelites, and God gave him prophetic dreams.
Who is Joseph?
When various figures tried to "reform" the Church, which ended in a large schism.
Hint: These figures were "protesting" the Catholic Church by leaving.
What is the Protestant Reformation?
The girl who helped lead France in a war against England.
Hint: She was martyred and burned alive at the stake.
Who is St. Joan of Arc?
When the priest explains, teaches, and guides the congregation using that day's Gospel.
Hint: This part is less structured than the rest of mass.
What is the Homily?
When Jesus returns to judge the living and the dead.
Hint: There are many parables about not being preprared for this event.
What is the second coming?
The man whom God allowed Satan to torment in a contest in order to prove his faithfulness to God.
Hint: He lost his land, family, and was afflicted with poor health.
Who is Job?
The ecumenical council which updated the mass in 1969.
Hint: It took place in a very important place for the Church.
What is Vatican II?
The man who slapped a heretic across the face at one of the first ecumenical councils.
Hint: Santa Claus is partially based on him.
Who is St. Nicholas?
The idea that the bread and wine at mass turn into the body, blood, soul, and divinity of Jesus Christ, but look still look like bread and wine.
Hint: The real presence is a result of this.
What is transubstantiation?
The people who lived extremely holy lives are believed to already be in heaven.
Hint: There are many different titles/categories that they may receive/fall into, based on their lives.

When Roman emperor, Constantine, summoned all Catholic bishops to discuss the essentials of the faith.
Hint: It was the first of its kind, and a prayer we pray at every mass named after it.
What is the Council of Nicea?
A great theologian and writer, who might be the most influential western philosopher.
Hint: Our diocese is named after him.
Who is St. Augustin?
The songs sung in between the first and second readings.
Hint: They have the same name as the book in the Bible that they come from.
What are the Psalms?
The spiritual beings God created before he created the physical world.
Hint: Their name is not actually a name, rather it is their role.
What is an Angel?
The man whom was in charge of St. Stephen's martyrdom.
Hint: He would later become one of the greatest saints himself, writing several letters advising the early Christians.

Hint: They are named after what happens during them.
