What is one of the reasons the Word became Flesh?
.The Word of God became flesh to save us from sin, death, and eternal separation from God. He did so by reconciling us with God by atoning for our sins. Christ gave His life so we could live.
.“The Word became flesh so that we might know God’s love” (CCC, 458). Jesus as truly human, is able to show us the true nature of God.
.God took on human flesh to be our model of holiness. Jesus shows us how to imitate him: to love one another as he has loved us (JN 15:12)
.God became human to make us sharers in his divine nature.
