Where are these CCAP courses taught and do the students receive college and high school credit?

These courses are taught at the specified High School. 

Yes, they receive both credits for the high school course and college credits for their future studies.

How can a student confirm that their application has been submitted?

They will see a submission page at the end of their application stating their information, confirmation number, college, and the term they are applying for.

True or False. The student needs to get their principal signature on their agreement form before turning it in.

False, only the signature of the parent and the student is necessary.

Will a professor from my high school be teaching my CCAP course?

No, these are professors from Southwestern College. They will be going to your high school to teach the class.

Can a student drop their course on their own?

No, they have to speak to their High School counselor in order to be dropped from the course.

When does the Outreach department usually have application workshops? When do we have the Spanish Workshops?

Spanish workshops are usually the first Monday of every month, from 3-4pm. 

English workshops are the following Wednesdays of the month from 3-4pm

Can a student complete this form before they submit their application and receive their credentials?


No, in order to complete this form through the Southwestern College webpage a student must log in with their credentials.

Do withdrawal dates apply to me?

Yes, these dates are important for high school students to be aware of in case they want to drop their course (through their counselor).

How can a student access the Student Agreement form?

Through the CCAP page on the Southwestern Main Website.

Do students in our CCAP program have to pay for tuition, books, and fees ?

No, there are no fees for this program.

If a student took a CCAP course in 10th grade and was seeking to take another course in 11th grade, would the student need to reapply to the college? Would they need to do a new student agreement form?

Yes, if a student missed one or more semesters in the college we would need a returning student application to be completed yet a new student agreement form is not needed.

What can a student do if they have submitted their parents' email incorrectly?

The student can enter our Virtual Lobbies or In-person office. Then a Peer Ambassador will be able to reach out to an Outreach Technician who specifies in CCAP so that they can edit and resend the form.

Can a CCAP student receive Financial Aid?

CCAP students cannot receive financial assistance due to the agreement between the college and high school.

To add, remove or change students from one class to another, what would a student need to do?

Submit the CCAP Change Request Form. (All changes must be done through the form and not through email.)

How many units can a CCAP student take?

High school students can take up to 6 units.

In the High School Information Section, what should a high school student in 11th-grade input as their highest Math and English course (Grade)?

They would input their highest english and math course completed for 10th grade.

How does the parent access the form in order to complete their designated section?

Extra 50 points: Who would be sending the access instructions to the parents?

Once the student submits their completed portion of the document the parent/guardian will receive an email with a link where they will be able to create their account and complete their designated section.

Can I be registered for more than one CCAP Course?

Yes, high school students are allowed to take up to 2 courses or 6 units.
