What is cellular respiration?
Cellular respiration is the process by which organisms use oxygen to break down food molecules (glucose) to get chemical energy for cell functions.
What controls what goes in and out of a cell?
The semi-permeable membrane that surrounds the cell.
The membrane is said to be selectively permeable. This means that it only allows certain molecules to come in and out.
What is mitosis?
Mitosis is one way biological cells replicate. During mitosis, a single cell splits into two identical cells.
What is simple diffusion?
Simple diffusion is a form of diffusion that does not require the assistance of membrane proteins.
The particle or substance moves from higher to lower concentration.
