This will be a short essay question: Why are the Sumerians known as problem solvers and inventors?
(example only) Sumerians are known as problem solvers and inventors because when a problem arose, they invented something to make their life easier. For example, to make farming more efficient, they invented the plow. They created standard measurements of weight to measure grain harvests. The invention of writing allowed them to keep a log of harvests, trades, debts, laws, and other important things as well. The number of Sumerians inventions that we still use today are enormous.
