Living conditions are very poor in the Dharavi slum.  Dharavi is incredibly over crowded, with one of the highest population densities in the world. the slum has little sanitation, poor infrastructure, poor health from environmental issues due to the incredible amounts of pollution produced within the slum, primarily water pollution, which has numerous effects on health.
