Explain how energy flows through an ecosystem. Where does it come from, where does it go second, third, fourth and so on.
It all starts with the sun. The sun gives energy to producers, such as grass, to make their own food. Then, 1st level consumers, such as cows, eat the producers in order to get 10% of the producer's energy. Next, a 2nd level consumer, such as a wolf, eats the 1st level consumer to receive 10% of the 1st level consumer's energy.
