Spreading the word means that you give it to anyone you talk to. Whether it is from actual words or actions, spreading the word means there are more Christians out there who want to protect the Gospel.

Why is the argument, if God gave us freedom then we can do whatever we want, broken?
He gave us this freedom so that we were not forced to worship Him. If we truely knew God, then worshiping Him wouldn't be something that we would want or have to think about. Instead it is something that would come naturally to us because of His greatness. With the free will we also have, worshiping God is like an act of gratitude for His kindness.
