How did the suffrage movement begin?
Elizabeth Cady Stanton and Lucretia Mott met at an anti-slavery convention in London. When the convention refused to seat them, they discussed the need to address the problem of women's rights. Soon they joined three other women, Martha Wright, Mary Ann McClintock, and Jane Hunt, and together they organized the Seneca Falls convention.
