In 1995 a truth and reconciliation committee was started in South Africa to resolve the issues of the separation of races in South Africa between 1950 and 1990, the government often used violence to enact these laws. The committee offered a blank pardon (amnesty) for anyone involved in the hate crimes committed, and gave them a chance to confess their crimes to the whole nation. Is this an example of true reconciliation? Or was it a mockery and insult to the victims of these crimes?

True reconciliation requires an effort made on both sides. For the victims and perpetrators to both move past the issue, they both need to reconcile with the other side.

(thinking Question) In several parts of the old testament in the bible, God smites entire towns or city's for the sins committed by their inhabitants, he also sends the angel of death to kill the first born son of every Egyptian because the Pharaoh enslaved the Israelite's. If God can punish people for their sins, does that mean that we can also take it upon ourselves to bring the guilty to Justice? (explain your answer in 2-3 full sentences)

No, we cannot take the law into our own hands, as we are not above the law, and committing crime against a criminal is still a crime. We also cannot directly compare ourselves to God, as we are imperfect beings, and to compare ourselves and our actions as equal to God and his actions would be blasphemy.
