4. Patients should be told that a diagnosis can become a part of their medical record and possibly impact future insurance costs, etc.
What is the difference between an illusion and a hallucination?
Hallucination: creating something out of nothing.
Illusions: misinterpreting formation in the environment; sensory errors
How is schizophreniform disorder different from schizophrenia?
An episode lasts at least one month but less than six months rather than schizophrenia's disturbances needing to last at least six months.
What is psychomotor retardation?
Slowed physical movement (eating, walking, talking, etc)
