Tommy, Zeke, Torin, and Ellie are at Bristol's house swimming before school starts. Tommy collapses by the pool because he was trying to beat Ellie's time for holding his breath under the water. Since you were recently CPR certified at school, outline the steps you would take to help save Tommy.

The first thing I would do is to have my friends call 911 to ensure that help is on the way. I would then check Tommy's vital signs to see whether his heart is beating and whether he is breathing. If not, I would start to perform CPR, and start rescue breaths if needed. I would continue alternating between CPR and rescue breaths until the ambulance arrives.
