Why did people want independence from England?
At this time people wanted independence from England because they did not want their government ran the same way England's Government was run. Colonists wanted the opportunity to vote in or to pick people they felt would be a good member of government. In England, you were born into that roll as either a King or Queen. Therefore Thomas Jefferson created the Declaration of Independence, stating the want for independence from England.

The United Nations is an organization created in 1945. Their main goal is to help countries of the world work together, to keep peace and to stay safe.

How are the rules different at home and at school? How are they the same? Give an example.
Rules at home are generally created by your at home adult. Rules at school are created by your classroom teacher. Both sets of rules are intended to keep you safe.

What steps are taken to make a bill into a law?
First, both parties of congress vote on a bill.
Then, the bill is sent to the president if Congress agrees that it should be a law and is within a person's Constitutional Rights.
Lastly, if the president says yes to the bill, it becomes law.

The Bill of Rights is a list of 10 rights that protect our freedoms and are shared by all citizens.
