Among the most common bacteria that affect humans.
What is staphylococci?
They are responsible for contagious diseases and conditions, such as head lice.
What are parasites (such as the itch mite)?
The ability of the body to destroy bacteria that have gained entrance, and thus resist infection.
What is immunity?
Something the body develops after it has overcome a disease or through inoculation.
What is acquired immunity?
A disease that is transmittable by contact.
What is contagious or communicable disease?
A person can be infected with this for many years without having symptoms.
What is HIV (Humans immunodeficiency virus)?
It is transmitted through unprotected sexual contact, IV drug user sharing needles, and accidents with needles in healthcare settings.
